Sligo set for Culture Night 2012

Sligo is set to host an event as part of Culture Night 2012.

The county did not participate last year and will resume their involvement next month.

The Hawks Well Theatre will host the culture concert as part of the celebrations.

Culture Night aims to make the arts more accessible to the public as thirty four cities and towns host a variety of free talks, exhibitions, demonstrations and gatherings. 

In just six years, it has grown from a minor event in Dublin's Temple Bar district to a highlight of the artistic calendar with more than 150,000 people attended events across Dublin last year.

The event will take place on Friday 21st September.
