Travers tipped for Mayor of Ballyshannon

It's expected that Phonsie Travers will be elected as the new Mayor of Ballyshannon later this evening.

Fine Gael holds the majority of power on the Town Council and its understood Councillor Travers will be elected at the councils AGM later this evening.

The new Mayor will replace Fine Gael Councillor John Meehan.
