The Yeats County hurlers beat second-placed Louth by 4-11 to 2-10 in Mullingar last night to make it four wins out of four.
Leitrim were beaten by 6-7 to 2-12 by Monaghan in Cootehill.
In club action, Mohill had a 1-13 to 0-9 win over Gortlettragh in the Leitrim Senior League last night, while St Pat’s beat Enniscrone/Kilglass in the Sligo Minor League.
In Fermanagh, county champions Derrygonnelly beat Maguirebridge by 2-10 to 2-8 in the senior league.
And in Donegal, Glenswilly beat Naomh Conaill in Division Five, while St Naul’s, Four Masters, Naomh Ultan, Pettigo and Dungloe were among the winners in the U12 Southern League.
