The Department of Education has approved the first phase of a major developement at Grange Vocational School in North Sligo.
It will include additional classrooms, new canteen facilities and a major configuration of the old school.
A figure on the value of the development has not been announced as the project has yet to go to tender.
Fine Gael Councillor Hubert Keaney says it’s good news not only for Grange but for the North Sligo area.
