A Sligo/Leitrim Dail deputy has raised questions about the emailing and calling for interview of candidates for temporary clerical officer jobs in the Department of Social Welfare.
Fianna Fail Deputy Eamon Scanlon said his query concerned emails to people who applied through the website, publicjobs.ie
He told the Dail it affected Sligo/Leitrim more than other areas because there is a social welfare office in Sligo.
Deputy Scanlon outlined the situation to the Dail.
However, Minister of State Eoghan Murphy, in his response, gave an update on the situation to Deputy Scanlon.
He also said some email accounts might have filters that prevented emails getting to applicants.
Ocean FM News now understands that some candidates who did not initially receive calls for interview have since been called.
