A Sligo county councillor is calling for a civic reception to be given to Easkey native David McGowan.
Raising the matter at yesterday’s meeting Sean MacManus called for Mr. McGowan to be handed a civic reception to recognise the major amount of public publicity he has generated for County Sligo.
McGowan, well known for bringing the ‘The Big Yoke’ airplane to Enniscrone, is setting up the already famous Glamping site in the beachside town which he hopes to have open for bookings by next summer.
