The 9th annual women and agriculture conference is taking place in Sligo today.
The conference is coming to the north west for the first time and is being held in the Radisson Hotel in Sligo town.
The conference which is organised by the Irish Farmers Journal is aimed at women who are involved in farming, working in the agriculture industry or living in rural Ireland.
The conference key note speaker later today will be Fionnuala Kenny, wife of An Taoiseach Enda Kenny, and there will also be speeches by Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed, Dr. Rhona Mahony, Master of the National Maternity Hospital, and a Nevin Maguire cooking demonstration.
