The numbers waiting on trolleys and in overflow areas of wards in the north west remains high once again today according to Irish Nurses and Midwives Figures.
There are 41 people waiting for a bed in the hospitals in Sligo and Letterkenny.
At Sligo University Hospital there are 21 people waiting on trolleys in the emergency department with another two waiting for a bed in the overflow area of wards.
There are a further 18 people waiting in Letterkenny University Hospital. Eight of those are on trolleys in the emergency department.
The latest trolley watch report shows 540 people waiting in hospitals across the country with Cork University Hospital the worst affected as 60 people await admission to beds.
University Hospital Galway is next with 49 while Mayo University Hospital has eight.
