There were over 1100 full and part time jobs created and sustained through the local enterprise office in Sligo this year.
In a presentation to a meeting of the Sligo Municipal District this morning it was outlined that 717 full time and 389 part times were created.
This was an overall increase of seven positions on the 2015 figures.
These do not include the many jobs sustained or created under training or cross border programmes.
301 thousand euro was allocated in funding from the LEO to sustain and create jobs.
Speaking to Ocean FM the head of Sligo LEO John Reilly says some part time jobs from 2015 even became full time employment.
