A Donegal councillor has expressed his disappointment at the lack of funding for the Local Improvement Scheme in Donegal.
€20 million in local roads funding was announced for Donegal yesterday, an increase of 1% on the 2016 funding.
Independent Councillor John Campbell believes this to be inadequate for the amount of maintenance and road works needed in the county.
He says the minister for transport has failed to provide funding for LIS despite numerous calls from councillors.
Councillor Campbell says the government are not dealing with the reality of whats needed in rural counties.
