A Donegal campaigner says a new roadside drugtesting measures will be in place by the Gardai by Easter.
Mary Clinton founder of the A-Ceart road safety group says this is welcome news for road safety in Ireland.
She was speaking on Ocean FM this morning in support of proposals by Transport Minister Shane Ross calling for an immediate ban for drivers convicted of drunken driving, even those found guilty of a first offence.
She revealed this new initiative for drug-testing is also now coming into effect:
