Fourteen Tesco workers from the supermarket chain’s Sligo store are on the picket line in Longford.
A planned strike at the Sligo store has not taken place because of what union Mandate described as ‘a technical error’ in the original ballot for strike action.
These staff are now going to be reballoted
Because of this, it would not have been legal for staff to strike in Sligo and they are therefore on the pickert line at the Longford store.
