A local councillor is calling on Donegal County Council to ensure the public toilets in Ballyshannon are brought up to a better standard ahead of the busy summer period.
Fine Gael’s Barry O’Neill raised the matter at a recent meeting of the Donegal Municipal District with the Environmental Officer who assured him they will be considered for improvement works.
He says an assessment was carried out on the toilets but nothing has been done to improve them so far.
Councillor O’Neill believes it’s proximity to the bus stop and public car park creates a lot of traffic to the facilities.
