A west of Ireland Senator wants NUI graduates in the North West to ensure they register to vote in Seanad elections before it’s too late.
The deadline to register is this Sunday but people only have until Friday to get a hard copy registration in the post.
Senator Alice Mary Higgins was elected on the NUI Panel at the last Seanad elections and says being on the register is a right of all those who graduated from NUI colleges including NUIG, Maynooth and the Royal College of Surgeons.
To be included on the register graduates need to go to nui.ie or call the NUI office in Dublin to receive a registration form.
The Senator told Ocean FM that graduates abroad can also avail of a Seanad vote.
