An Independent Donegal TD has questioned the government’s claims that the DEIS school assessment is fair and objective.
Thomas Pringle hit out at the government saying the new process lacks transparency.
A number of representatives from Donegal have noted recently that neighbouring schools are receiving different DEIS designations despite being in similar situations.
Deputy Pringle says no application process was in place and therefore no appeals process was made available to schools questioning the Department’s decision.
He says schools have not been kept in the loop as to how they were scored
