SIPTU is to ballot school bus drivers at Bus Éireann for industrial and strike action due to the threat to their jobs resulting from the wider crisis in the company.
The National School Bus Drivers Committee decided to commence the process of balloting its members in support of their colleagues at Bus Éireann.
The ballot is due to be completed by the 21st of April.
Meanwhile, the strike at Bus Éireann is continuing this evening, but Dublin Bus and rail services resumed earlier following widespread disruption this morning.
Bus Eireann says this mornings illegal strike action won’t solve the problems at the company.
Management say they want a resolution, but are also responsible for ensuring that the business can survive.
All rail services in the North West have returned to normal this evening.
