The future of not just small rural post offices but the entire network is under threat as a result of new proposals by An Post.
That’s according to the President and North West spokesperson for the Irish Postmasters Union Paddy McCann.
Mr. McCann, who is the postmaster in Fairymount in Roscommon has made the comments ahead of a protest outside the Taoiseach’s constituency office in Castlebar tomorrow.
Postmasters are calling for the resignation of Enda Kenny if he fails to protect post offices as committed to in the Programme for Government.
