Call for development of water activities on Glencar Lake



A North Leitrim councillor says water activities on Glencar Lake could help bring more people into the area, creating increased business and employment.

The lake is beside Glencar Waterfall, one of the North West’s major tourist locations, attracting an estimated 100,000 visitors annually.

Now, Independent Councillor Felim Gurn has asked Leitrim County Council to consider building a jerry or promenade along part of Glencar Lake, which is located in what is one of the most scenic areas in the region.
