Farmers are required to make all applications for their payments online even though the North West’s Broadband infrastructure is lacking.
That’s according to Sinn Fein Agricultural Spokersperson, TD Martin Kenny who is putting forward his Rural Equality Bill this week to the Dail. According to Deputy Kenny, the bill ‘aims to tackle discrimination against rural areas and enshrine rural-proofing in legislation’.
Broadband infrastructure in the North West is lacking which leaves farmers in an awkward position as they don’t have alternatives
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Deputy Kenny said that most people living in rural Ireland don’t have Broadband or have a very weak connection.
