There will be a civic reception in Sligo this evening for the local branch of Diabetes Ireland.
It will take place at 6pm in County Hall, Riverside, Sligo.
Diabetes Ireland is celebrating it’s 50th year this year and the reception has been organised to acknowledge the service volunteers have given over the past five decades.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Grange man Donal Gilroy, of Diabetes Ireland, says that the Sligo branch has probably been the most active duirng the past 30 or 40 years.
