The planning for this year’s Faac Simply Automati/Sligo Park Hotel Stages Rally is currently at an advanced stage with entries already open. Robert Lyttle, clerk of the course, and his team have been working diligently over the past six months selecting a route, communicating with residents and putting structures in place for the July 9 event.
The committee earlier this year secured a global brand leader as joint-title sponsors, Faac provides solutions for access automation systems and automatic pedestrian and vehicle security access control systems, and have a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in west Dublin and a distribution outlet based in Boyle.
Sligo Park Hotel, who have recently undertaken an extensive front of house refurbishment, are joint title sponsors and headquarters for the weekend of the rally once again.
Also supporting the event are local businesses, Herron Auto, Kerrigan Quarries, Gulf Oil Hot Rods, Glenview Decorative Stone, Connacht Print, McGowan Landscaping, and Sligo Haulage & Distribution.
The event is a counting round of three premier series – the Triton National Championship, the Sligo Pallets Border Rallt Championship and the Top Part West Coast Rally Championship.
Next Tuesday night, June 13, the official launch of the 2017 Sligo Stages Rally take place at the Sligo Park Hotel.
