Local TD says politicians must now adapt to electoral changes



A Sinn Fein TD in Sligo/Leitrim says politicians need to adapt to changes in electoral boundaries.

Martin Kenny is the sitting TD that would be most affected by changes to the constituency boundaries in the next election.

The recommendations announced by the Commission recently, removes west Cavan and brings north Roscommon into a new Sligo/Leitrim constituency which also keeps nine electoral divisions in south Donegal.

Fianna Fail TD Eamon Scanlon is likely to benefit most from the changes if he decides to seek a nomination again as the Boyle area would be close to his home base of Ballymote.
