John Oxx has won Monday’s feature at Roscommon, the €45,000 Listed Lenebane Stakes (8.25), five times since 2008 and he goes in search of more glory with Flying Fairies who will be ridden by Gary Carroll. The favourite for the race is the Aidan O’Brien-trained Exemplar who was last seen contesting the Dante Stakes at York.
The Roscommon Herald Handicap (7.55) has €18,000 up for grabs and Jessica Harrington will fancy her chances of taking the main prize with Hyperdrive who won his last two starts at Leopardstown and Limerick.
The first of seven races is due off at 5.55 and the going is good, good to yielding in places.
