More than 350 Goldwing bike owners visit the region

More than 350 motorcyclists driving the iconic, long-distance motor bikes known as Goldwings will be making their way through parts of Leitrim, Donegal and Sligo today.

The bikers come from more than 23 countries throughout Europe and are based at the Lough Allen Hotel in Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim.

They are raising money from this year’s event for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust which helps bereaved families bring the remains of loved ones home from abroad.

Dermot Smith, coordinator of the event, has been telling Ocean FM News, where the bikers will be going today.
