Over 50 thousand students will receive their first round CAO offers this morning.
Over 2100 in Donegal, almost 750 in Sligo and over 450 in Leitrim got their results last week.
While some may chose to take a year out or may not want to go to college, most apply through the CAO system to secure a college place.
A new points system is in place for the first time in 25 years.
