The government says it will make whatever funding is needed available for the relief effort in Donegal.
Donegal TD Joe McHugh has confirmed this lunchtime that the Red Cross will administer a funding scheme to help businesses while the Humanitarian scheme has already been made available.
It follows an interagency meeting in Dublin today where Floods Minister Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran has also raised the issue of insurance.
