Donegal councillor calls for a boardwalk to be built in mountcharles

A Donegal councillor is calling for a boardwalk to be built in Mountcharles.

Sinn Fein Councillor Noel Jordan wants the 1.7 kilometre boardwalk to go from the small pier to the big pier in the town.

At yesterday’s meeting of Donegal Municipal District, he put forward a motion calling on the council to explore possible funding for the project.

He says a new boardwalk would allow people see the area’s breathtaking scenery up close.

He also told Ocean FM News other reasons why he thinks the boardwalk should be provided.
