The Transport Minister Shane Ross is under fire again today, this time from a Leitrim Councillor.
Fianna Fail Councillor Mary Bohan says she’s outraged at the failure of the Minister to fund the much-needed Local Improvement Schemes for people in rural areas.
Some funding has been sanctioned by the Rural Affairs Minister Michael Ring but Councillor Bohan says the money should be coming from the Transport Department.
It also will cover just 6 of the over 200 LIS applications in county Leitrim alone.
She says it’s yet another problem that Shane Ross is simply ignoring:
