A busy weekend of provincial action for clubs from Sligo and Leitrim gets underway this evening, as both Eastern Harps and Coolaney/Mullinabreena contest minor semi-finals against Mayo opposition.
Harps face Balla at 7pm in the Minor A Championship having won the Sligo county title last weekend.
Mullinabreena will be in action from 8.15pm, as they face Annagh Rovers in the B Championship. Annagh Rovers beat Leitrim winners St Brigid’s last weekend.
Both games are at the Connacht GAA Centre.
The Connacht Senior Championship gets underway tomorrow as Leitrim double winners Mohill face Mayo kingpins Castlebar Mitchells in MacHale Park from 2pm.
The winners will face Sligo champions Tourlestrane in the semi-finals.
Sligo intermediate champions St John’s contest the Connacht semi-final in Markievicz Park at 2pm on Sunday, but won’t find out their opponents until after tomorrow’s Galway final involving Williamstown and Claregalway.
Sligo junior champions Ballymote will take on Kilglass Gaels in Dr Hyde Park at 2pm on Sunday.
In hurling, Calry/St Joseph’s face Galway’s Sylane in the Connacht final at 2pm in the Connacht GAA Centre tomorrow.
And St Mary’s ladies footballers will play Galway side Moycullen in the Connacht Intermediate final at St Croan’s GAA Club in Roscommon at 2pm on Sunday.
