It’s time to end the practice of using primary schools as polling stations at elections.
That’s according to Leitrim Fine Gael Councillor Sean McDermott who says too many school days are being lost as a result.
The Irish Country Women’s Association recently raised concerns about this.
Councillor McDermott says there are many other public buildings where voting could take place at election time.
