Sligo train driver says Iarnród Éireann workers are worth payrise



A second strike by railway workers is continuing this afternoon around the country.

It’s understood railway workers are asking for a 3.75% wage increase.

Three further 24 hour strikes are planned between now and Christmas. The next planned strike is next Tuesday November 14, the same day as the Rep of Ireland versus Denmark match in Dublin.

Meanwhile, hundreds of commuters across the Northwest have had to make alternative travel arrangements today.
