Karl Lacey will be among the Donegal 2012 All-Ireland heroes that will be honoured by Donegal GAA at their annual banquet and awards night in Letterkenny’s Mount Errigal Hotel this evening.
The Four Masters great and former Footballer of the Year, who announced his retirement from intercounty football at the end of the 2017 campaign, will be one of five players from the 2012 panel recognised.
Naomh Brid’s David Walsh, Glenswilly’s Neil Gallagher, St Eunan’s Rory Kavanagh and St Michael’s Christy Toye will also be honoured.
Kilcar’s Mark McHugh will be presented with the Gradam Shéamuis Mhic Géidigh after being voted the Player of the Year in the Donegal Senior Championship, while Kilcar will be presented with the Senior Club of the Year award.
There will be another Kilcar award winner as Patrick McBrearty is named the Donegal Senior Player of the year.
