Their are reports of slushy conditions around Sligo Town and icy footpaths on Connaughton Road

Gardaí in Ballyshannon say that while conditions improving slightly overall the roads are bad in and around the town.

Manorhamilton Gardaí say it is touch and go in the region but currently no blockages.

Their are reports that the roads from Culfadda to Ballymote, Charlestown to Tubbercurry and parts of the N17 heading towards Collooney remain very tricky this morning.

Gardaí in Ballymote are warning motorists that a truck went off the road overnight by Sooey and will remain there until conditions improve to remove it.

The road is passable by the vehicle and no one was injured in the incident.

Gardaí are advising motorists if they are travelling to drive with caution.

Secondary roads around the region are more dangerous than main roads especially in sheltered areas.
