Calls for funding to be granted for life changing drug for 9-year-old Leitrim girl

The family of a Leitrim girl who suffers from a rare disease is calling on the Minister for Health to prevent the HSE from withdrawing the funding for a life changing drug.

Grace McIntyre suffers from Morquio, which affects the skeletal system.

She is nine years old but her body is still at the development stage of a three year old.

Sligo/Leitrim TD Martin Kenny appealed to the Taoiseach in the Dail to find the money for the drug for the 9-year-old....
