Donegal enjoyed a positive start to 2018 with a comprehensive defeat of Queen’s University in Ballybofey yesterday evening in Ulster’s McKenna Cup.
Declan Bonner’s side were 15-point winners, helped by goals from Michael Langan and debutant Nathan Mullins.
There was also a winning start for former Donegal boss Rory Gallagher with Fermanagh.
The Erne men beat Monaghan by 2-11 to 0-12 in Enniskillen.
Elsewhere, Padraig McNulty, Conor McAliskey, Frank Burns and Niall Sludden all found the net as holders Tyrone opened with a 4-20 to 2-11 victory over Antrim.
Cavan were three-point winners against St Mary’s College, Derry saw off UUJ by 2-14 to 3-10 and Armagh won by 2-12 to 0-13 away to Down.
