Irish Water says that a 40% discount on businesses’ water bills in South Sligo is the maximum that will be given.
A boil water notice, affecting 13,000 customers on the Lough Talt water supply, is now entering its fourth month.
The bacteria cryptosporidium was detected in the supply in February.
Dozens of affected businesses have been given a 40% discount on their water bill, but from Irish Water, says this is the maximum that will be given.
