Leitrim face Mayo this evening in the first game of the new Connacht Minor Championship.
Apart from being at U17 level this year, the competition also has a new round-robin format, with each county playing four games – two at home and two away.
Leitrim will also be away to Sligo in the competition, but will host Roscommon and Galway.
Galway and Roscommon also clash in Round One in Tuam on Friday, with Sligo’s Barry Judge set to referee that game.
Sligo have a bye in round one and will face Galway in their opening game in Markievicz Park on Friday week.
The Yeats men will be away to Mayo and Roscommon.
Tonight’s match is at MacHale Park, where there’s an 8pm throw-in.
It is part of a double-header in Castlebar this evening, with the Connacht Junior Championship quarter-final between Mayo and Roscommon throwing-in at 6.30pm.
