The funeral takes place in Sligo this afternoon of the retired Bishop of Elphin, Christopher Jones.
His concelebrated funeral Mass will take place in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 1:30.
Clergy from throughout the country, including leading members of the hierarchy, are expected to attend.
Afterwards, he will be laid to rest in the cathedral grounds, next to his predecessor Dominic Conway, who was bishop of Elphin from 1971 to 1994.
Bishop Jones, who was 82, was bishop of Elphin for more than 20 years, until his retirement about four years ago.
