Irish Water have said they are hopeful that plannnig permission will be granted for the construction of a treatment plant at Lough Talt.
A boil water notice, affecting 13,000 customers on the Lough Talt water supply, is now entering its fifth month.
Irish Water have previously said that the boil water notice in South Sligo will remain in place until the Lough Talt treatment plant is upgraded.
A planning application has now been submitted for the construction of a temporary treatment plant, and Seamus Granahan from Irish Water says they are hopeful it’ll be successful…..
