Ocean FM won big at the IMRO National Radio Auwards last night taking home 2 Gold and 2 Silver.
Over 600 people attended the awards at the Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny.
Gold was awarded for ‘Sailing Homeward to Coney Island’ in the Music Special Category for The Francie Boylan Show.
Niall Delaney’s feature on bare-knuckle boxing ‘When the Gloves are Off’, also won Gold in the Sports Programme – Local/Regional section.
The Main Lunchtime News won Silver in the News Programme – Local/Regional category for their coverage of the Ireland 2040 Plan from IT Sligo in February and Claire Ronan took home Silver for ‘The Goal of all Life.’
More than 550 entries were received which were then reduced to a shortlist of 217 nominations.
