Election Posters should be banned next year’s local and European elections.
The claims have been made by Leitrim Councillor, Mary Bohan. The Drumkeerin based Business Woman says that election Posters are unwanted in many local towns and villages and they are also harmful for the environment.
Councillor Bohan raised the matter at this week’s Manorhamilton Municipal District meeting of Leitrim Council.
Despite not being successful in 2014 when it came to banning election posters she says this time round there is more support for the move.
