An extra daily Sligo-Dublin rail service begins from Monday, December 10th.
There will also be additional alterations to other times on the Sligo to Dublin line from Sunday, December 9th.
Iarnród Éireann is advising customers it will be implementing timetable alterations from December 9th, following public consultation and the approval of the National Transport Authority.
The Sligo to Dublin line, will see weekday services increase from seven trains each way daily to eight trains each way, with an extra morning train from Dublin, Connolly to Sligo, and an evening train from Sligo to Connolly.
In addition, there will be time changes on a number of other trains on the Sligo line.
Customers are being asked to note, in particular, the earlier departure of the 07.05am Sligo to Connolly service, which will be departing at the earlier time of 6.40am.
Additional services will run at 6.55am and 9.05am from Connolly to Sligo, Monday to Friday.
These will replace the existing 8.00am Connolly to Sligo train.
The existing 8.00am Connolly to Sligo service on Saturdays will be replaced by a train departing at 9.05am and the Sunday only 6:00pm Sligo to Connolly train is deferred to 7pm.
