A local councillor is calling for a traffic management plan to be part of a 62-unit housing scheme in Sligo town.
Sinn Fein Councillor Chris MacManus says he welcomes the new housing units to be built in the Maugheraboy area but he raised concerns about traffic management at the entrance to Maugheraboy Estate.
County Council Director of Services Bartley Gavin said the need for traffic management in the area would be assessed as part of the planning process for the housing project.
Another local councillor, Mayor Rosaleen O Grady, supported Cllr MacManus’s call for traffic management plans.
