The Labour Party has selected a candidate for the Sligo-Strandhill area to run in the local electoral elections in May.
Nessa Cosgrove who lives in Cartron in Sligo town was selected unopposed at last night’s convention at the SIPTU offices in Hanson Retail Park.
She has worked as a Youth Liaison Worker with the Sligo Leitrim Home Youth Liaison Service since 2005.
Labour Party Leader Brendan Howlin was in attendance at the convention.
