A campaigner for improved water quality in the Lough Talt area of south Sligo says there are still people in the locality who do not know they remain on a Boil Water Notice.
Kellie Cadman, of the Lough Talt Water Warriors campaign group, says that’s because not everyone is on social media.
Irish Water has reminded people supplied by the Lough Talt water supply that the Boil Water Notice remains in place.
It says the present Lough Talt treatment process does not provide adequate protection against cryptosporidium.
Kellie Cadman says some people they have come in contact while collecting signatures for their campaign did not realise they still have to boil their water.
