Leitrim gaelic footballers completed their regulation series of games in Division 4 of the Allianz Football League on Saturday with a 1-20 to 2-9 win against Waterford at Avantcard Páirc Seán MacDiarmada.
The result means Leitrim finish second in the table on 12 points behind Derry who remain unbeaten with seven wins out of seven after a 3-21 to 4-16 win against Wexford.
The game saw Drumkeerin’s Cathal McCauley and Glencar/Manorhamilton’s Niall Brady make their Leitrim league debuts and both men got on the scoresheet in the second-half.
