There were 278 convictions for drink driving offences across the north west region last year.
The figures from the Courts Service says 3,845 people were disqualified from driving due due to these offences in 2018 nationally – up 12 percent on 2017.
The highest number of defendants convicted were in Co Donegal where 184 people appeared before the districts courts in the county 2018.
In Sligo that figure was 67 and the lowest number of offences were recorded in Carrick with just 27.
