Leitrim County Council are to contact the Minister for Finance and Public Expenditure Paschal Donohoe to request him to introduce a feasibility study around a structured tax incentive scheme to include the redevelopment of commercial buildings with living accommodation in towns and villages.
Cathaoireach of the Council Enda McGloin tabled the motion at yesterday’s meeting in Carrick-on-Shannon.
Speaking to Ocean FM the Drumshanbo based Councillor says the initiative is aimed at injecting life into towns and villages throughout the County.
