There’s a boost for the Achonry area of County Sligo with news of 14 jobs.
Two years ago, a number of jobs in the butter churning process at Aurivo were lost to County Cork, but eight of these have now returned, along with the creation of six new new jobs.
Sligo/Leitrim Fianna Fail TD Eamon Scanlon has welcomed the news saying that the jobs are vital for a rural area like Achonry.
Speaking to OceanFM News, Deputy Scanlon says it will also help young people looking for summer work.
