A Sligo councillor is raising concerns about the lack of space at three burial grounds in Sligo.
It is understood there is no plots left in Rosses Point Cemetery or Ahamlish Cemetery in Grange and families are being told that Rathcormac Cemetery is the only option available to them.
Sligo County Council has been working on various options to expand the burial grounds however no suitable options have been found to date.
Fianna Fail Cllr Donal Gilroy says he feels compulsory purchases are now needed.
